Paul Junior Wells, 85, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

He was born on July 8, 1933, in Brownsville, TN, to the late, John and Anna Little Wells. Paul was a retired EMT with Parkview Ambulance Services and was also the former manager of Dyer County Memorial Gardens. He was a former Reserved Deputy and Investigator with the Dyer County Sheriff's Office and was the Director of Crime stoppers. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Chessor officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two daughters, Karen Curtis and Niki Troutt, both of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, Robert "Bubba" Wells of Halls, TN and James Peters of Dyersburg, TN; two sisters, Tillie Jones of Finley, TN and Margie Bobo of Paris, TN; sixteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Paulette Davis; a brother, Jay Wells; and two sisters, Dot Coons and Effie Carper.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Ketchum, Steve Smith, Clay Chambers, Jonathan Anderson, Randy Brimm and James Peters.
