Paul David Jones, Sr., 77, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on November 25, 1945, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late Claude Anderson Jones and Margaret Glass Jones. Paul retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service. He then went on to be the Sheriff for the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Paul was a member of Tiptonville First Baptist Church and was a Master Mason with the Harmony Lodge in Tiptonville. He enjoyed beekeeping, hunting, fishing and gardening. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Lake Memorial Gardens with Bro. John Troutman officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his two daughters, Allison Burrow and husband, Rusty, of Dyersburg, TN and Melanie Ayers and husband, Jerry, of Tiptonville, TN; a son, Paul David Jones, Jr. and wife, Angela, of Dyersburg, TN; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his K-9 Companion, Raschel.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Jones; a sister, Frances Minton; and six brothers, Joe Jones, Curtis Jones, Carl Jones, Richard Jones, George Jones and Jimmy Jones.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
