Patsy Jackson Sommer's Obituary
Patsy Jackson Sommer, 86, of Palm Springs, CA, formerly of Tiptonville, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA.
She was a homemaker and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville with Mr. Ken Parks and the Rev. Marita Burkeen officiating. Burial will be in Crockett Chapel Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Sommer of Palm Springs, CA; two daughters, Patrice Goebel and husband, Jay, of Murrieta, CA and Mindy Marinos and husband, Savvas, of Encinitas, CA; a sister, Sonya English of Union City; five grandchildren, Jayson Goebel, Summer Goebel, Geo Marinos, Mia Marinos, and Niko Marinos; and four great-grandchildren, Jayck Goebel, Shaye Goebel, Layla Goebel, and Jackson Goebel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Talmus and Mayme Griffith Jackson; and a sister, Jeanne Parks.
Pallbearers were Paul English, Woodson Andrews, Jason Goebel, Niko Marinos, Geo Marinos, and Shane Andrews.
