Patsy King Holden, 85, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.

Patsy was born on December 30, 1935, in Friendship, TN, to the late, Ellie Raymond King and Ila Vern Whitby King. She was a homemaker, was owner with her husband of the Holden's Grocery and also worked for several years at the Dyer County Election Commission. Patsy was a member of First Baptist Church, where she kept the church nursery for several years. She loved her fellow members of the First Baptist Church Joy Sunday School Class.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The Holden Family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include her two sons, John King Holden and Patrick Holden (Tammy) all of Dyersburg; a daughter, Jan Holden Jones (Jeff) of Bartlett; a sister, Nelle Hollandsworth (J.F.) of Dyersburg; and seven grandchildren, Whitby Holden, Walker Holden, Edye-Bette Holden, Emily Jones, Caleb Jones, Ellie Jones and Ensley Jones.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, John Nichols Holden; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. Billy W. King (Doris) and Eddie L. King (Teresa); and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris H. Griffin (Rev. Billy) and Elizabeth Fowlkes (Pierce).

Pallbearers will be Rob Peckenpaugh, Dan Fowlkes, Lance Estes, Andrew Jackson and her grandchildren.
