Pastor Emeritus William Edward "Bill" Stevenson, age 84 of Dyersburg, TN went to be with the Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Pastor Bill was born on April 21, 1938 in Farmington, MO to the late Herbert & Jeanetta Harrington Stevenson. He worked for Teknor Apex in Brownsville, TN for 26 years. Upon his retirement, he went to seminary and later became the pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church where he stated he finally had a job he loved. Pastor Bill was a member of the Dyersburg Noon Rotary, board member of the Jackson Symphony, and worked very closely with Partners in Education in Brownsville, TN. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and his family described him as a man who loved God, his family, his church, and his community.

The family will receive visitors from 5 until 7 on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 11 until 1 on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Paul Leigeber. Burial will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ramona Stevenson of Dyersburg, TN; two daughters, Marjorie Welch (Tommy) of Whiteville, TN and Gretchen Campbell (Brad) of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Thomas Stevenson (Debbie) of Castle Pines, CO; one sister, Janice Morrison of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, William Stevenson Welch (Jaclyn), Lisa Plunk (Brandon), Rebekah Campbell, Anna Campbell; and one great granddaughter, Ella Plunk.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sara Welch.

Honoring Pastor Bill as pallbearers will be Tommy Welch, Brad Campbell, Tommy Naylor, William Stevenson Welch, Tom Stevenson and Tom Lundberg.
