Ovid Curtis Perkins, Jr., 76, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Ovid was born on December 9, 1945, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late, Ovid Curtis Perkins, Sr. and Maggie Carrington Perkins. He was a retired farmer and had been a member of the National Guard. Ovid proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Bargery officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel.

Survivors include his son, Ovid Leon Perkins of Tiptonville, TN; a brother, Johnny Perkins of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, Brenda Poiner of Tiptonville, TN; and three grandchildren, Heather, Dakota and Hunter.

In addition to his parents, Ovid was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Whitson.

Pallbearers will be Jason Perkins, Hunter Perkins, Dakota Perkins and Jake Bargery.
