Obituary

Ora Lee Hendrex, 81, of Camden, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at Camden Healthcare & Rehab.

She was a retired seamstress for Rolane Manufacturing and H.I.S. Manufacturing and was a Baptist.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Haynes Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include eight daughters, Carolyn Spurrier, Helen Tharp and Sharon Serimian, all of Visalia, Calif., Deborah Smith of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Karen Allen of Silva, Mo., Virginia Hopper of Tiptonville, Paula Sanders of Dyersburg and Alice Douglas of Camden; a son, John W. Woolard of Visalia, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Cathy Tate of Obion; a stepson, Clay Bennett of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Louise Malady of Millington; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tom Tharp and Condie Hendrex; her parents, Gilley and Mamie Griggs Mayfield; six sisters, Hazel Badger, Barbara Dean, Mary McClain, Opal Dunlap, Helen Gann and Evelyn Zimmerman; and a brother, J.G. Mayfield.

Pallbearers will be Roger Moore, Ronnie Moore, Robert McClain, Timmy Dean, Eddie Dean and Steve Jones.
