Norman James Gould, 59, of Ridgely, TN passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
Born March 21, 1957 in Olean, New York, he was the son of the late James Daniel Gould and Doris Baker Gould.
Norman graduated from high school in New Jersey and obtained an Associate's degree from Olean Business Institute. From New Jersey, he moved to New Orleans and eventually resided in Pennsylvania and New York. He worked at various places including a Public Library, the American Red Cross, a boarding kennel and a Pizza Shop. While in Galeton, he worked as a machinist. He also attended First Christian Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olean, NY.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Surviving are his loving companion and best friend for the past 35 years, Janet E. Haskell of Dyersburg, TN; four siblings, Gary (Dorothy "Dot") Gould of Mt. Holly, NJ, Larry D. (Patricia) Gould of Summerville, SC, Cheryl (Wayne) Garrison of Piedmont, SC and Brian Gould of Ridgely, TN; a son; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William Gould, Kenneth Gould, Terry Gould, and Timothy Gould.
The family requests that memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
