Norma Jean Wells, 82, of Elliston, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Norma was born on December 27, 1938, in Christianburg, VA, to the late, Charlie and Sarah Elizabeth Simpkins Altizer. She was a retired CNA for Carrillion Inc. and was a member of New Hope Church of God in Chrisitanburg, VA.

Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021 at New Hope Church of God in Christianburg, VA with Bro. Mike Bond officiating.

Survivors include her husband, James B. Wells of Elliston, VA; two sons, James David Wells (Bonnie) of Waynesboro, VA and Michael Wayne Wells (Nikki) of Ft. Union, VA; two daughters, Deborah Vernice Sanson of Elliston, VA and Theresa Kimbro (Jeff) of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Ruby Lavender of Brandywine, MD; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
