Norma Lynn Davenport, 86, passed on Thursday, December 18, 2025 in Dyersburg, TN will be greatly missed by all of those that loved her.

Norma was born July 20, 1939 in Shafter, CA to the late Ralph T. and Nettie Kerley.  She was the second of three children.  She graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1957 and Bakersfield Community College in 1959.  She loved to sing and was an avid member of the Community College Choir, which is where she met and later married the late John H. Villegas.  Together, they had three children.

Norma later remarried the late Thomas "Tom" Davenport and they relocated to Cooter, MO, where they lived for 16 years, before settling in Dyersburg, TN.  Norma worked alongside Tom, building their family business, A-1 Transmission Shop.

Norma was  devout Christian who's greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was a very loving and caring person, devoted wife and mother.

Norma is survived by two daughters, Sharon Sutton of Cape Girardeau, MO and Julie (Shane) Crouch of Corpus Christi, TX.  Six grandchildren, Joe, April, Anthony (Maggie), Jeremy (Jessica), Devon (Ashlie) and Shelby.  Twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one brother, Randy.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; a son, John H. Villegas, Jr and a sister, Janis Wheeler.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28th from 1:00pm – 2:30pm at Dyersburg Funeral Home, followed by graveside service at Farview Cemetary.  Services will be officiated by Pastor Aaron Burton of Steele, MO. and Norma's family members will be honored to serve as pallbearers.
