Obituary

Mrs. Nora Thetford Lock, 98, of the Millsfield Community near Dyersburg, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was retired from Sylvania Corp. and was the oldest member of Christ United Methodist Church, formerly Bryant's Chapel Methodist Church in the Millsfield Community.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with her grandson, Kerry Owen officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Stacy and husband, John, of Dyersburg; four sisters, Jean Sipes, Martha Campbell, Dorothy Phillips and Barbara Hampton, all of Dyersburg; three grandsons, Kerry Owen and wife, Faye, and Pat Owen and wife, Donna, all of Dyersburg and John T. Stacy and wife, Kim, of Dallas, GA; eight great-grandchildren, Kim Owen, Brandon Owen, Beverly Jackson, Holly Fenton and husband, Daryl, all of Dyersburg, Keeli Stacy, Kelsey Stacy, Jacob Stacy and Kensley Stacy, all of Dallas, GA; and six great-great-grandchildren, Leea Fenton, Jacob Jackson, Blake Fenton, Sean Jackson, Colton Fenton and Landen Stacy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.C. Lock; her parents, Otto and Lula Asbridge Thetford; one sister, Sue Hall; and four brothers, Hayward Thetford, J.C. Thetford, Junior Garrison and Otis Garrison.

Pallbearers will be Benny Sipes, Kyle Caton, Glenn Campbell, Rickie Ingram, Billy Hall and Tracy Garrison.
