Noah Alexander Bottoms, 91, of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired factory worker for Goodyear Tire. He was a member of Volunteer Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Church Treasurer. Mr. Noah was a former Sunday School Teacher and Boy Scout Leader. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, where he received the Purple Heart Medal and the Silver Star Medal for his heroic service in Okinawa.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Graple Bottoms of Dyersburg; two sons, Mike Bottoms and wife, Jill, and Dennis Bottoms and wife, Linda, all of Dyersburg; a sister, Maxine Bottoms of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Bottoms; his parents, Paschal and Ollie Halliburton Bottoms; four sisters, Inez Talbott, Edna Young, Mary French and Eva Runion; and three brothers, Clyde Bottoms, Clarence Bottoms and Leslie "Bub" Bottoms.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bottoms, Blake Bottoms, Hunter Bottoms, David Moore, Corey Moore and Joe Smith.
