Obituary

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Nikki Lynn Butler Frank, age 38, who departed this life surrounded by those who loved her most. Born on April 17, 1987, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, Nikki was a 2005 graduate of Dyer County High School. She was employed as a manager for the Verizon store in Tupelo, Mississippi. Though her time with us was far too short, Nikki's life was lived with fullness, laughter, and a love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Nikki was a radiant soul who was known for her infectious laugh, the sparkle in her beautiful blue eyes, and a presence that made the world a little brighter. She had a gift for making people feel seen, always offering a helping hand, or just by letting you know she was there for you. She was the most empathetic, kind, and incredibly strong person…all qualities that she managed to maintain despite the hardships that life had to offer.

She found joy in the little things and lived for the moments that mattered most. Music spoke to her in ways that words never could, and live music was her therapy.

Above all, Nikki loved her family. No one ever cared for or loved another soul more than she did Sean. Their love was one that could only be best described as a fairytale. She was also a fiercely protective and caring mother for her son, Brendon, and the most supportive sister that her siblings could have asked for. Not only were her parents her family, they were her very best friends at heart.

Nikki is survived by the love of her life, Sean Frank; her son, Brendon Hayes (Lux); her beloved K9 Archer; her brothers, Brad and Kaiden Butler; her sister, Kristin Gregory (Shane); her nephews, Korbyn Butler, Joseph Pitts Jr., Cade Gregory, Liam Hendrix, River Gregory, Jaxon Gregory, Nolan Gregory, Justin Byrd, and Zach Byrd,  and a niece Brooklyn Pitts; her cousins, Andrew Gibson (Jessica), April Newby (Bobby), and Jacob Gibson; her loving in-laws, Bryan and Rhonda Frank; and a very close-knit circle of chosen family who stood by her through life's highs and lows.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Sherry and Matt Butler; her Aunt Bonnie Sue Gibson; and her Uncle Andy Gibson, all of whom she missed deeply.

A celebration of Nikki's life and love will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m.  Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Carlisle, Nick Beasley, John Michael Everett, Lee McDaniel, Austin Hafley, Mark Winger, and Allen Holloway, each of whom held a special place in Nikki's life. Nikki's family request that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund in lieu of flowers.

Though her absence is deeply felt, her love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

"Though her light has dimmed here, it shines brightly in the love she gave and the lives she changed."
