Neva Nail Simpson, 83, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at her residence.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Chessor officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, I.J. Simpson of Dyersburg; a daughter, Jimmie Shelly and husband, Jerry, of Savannah; a stepdaughter, Sherri Ballinger and husband, Jamie, of Dyersburg; two sons, Tom White Sr. and wife, Rose, of Finley, and Estel White and wife, Glenda, of Dyersburg; a brother, Johnny Essary and wife, Marcy, of Mt. Juliet; nine grandchildren, Lynette Shelly Ezell and husband, Kevin, Amy Shelly Adkisson and husband, Bob, Michelle White Newton and husband, Tony, Shannon White Cannon and husband, John, Heather White Pitts and husband, Matt, Brandon Ballinger, Tommy White Jr. and wife, Deidra, Jeff White and wife, Rhonda, and Brett Ballinger Lawson and husband, Rodney; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ora Hendrix Essary, and her sister, June Fisher.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Ballinger, Rodney Lawson, Matt Pitts, Christopher White, Collin White and John Cannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Hastings, Don Ed Hastings, Ray Davis, Burliss Davis and Joe Davis.
