Nellie Jo Wallace's Obituary
Nellie Jo Wallace, 81, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Center.
She was born on December 27, 1935 in Tennessee, to the late Joe Pitts and the late Nellie Scott Pitts. Nellie was a retired English Teacher for Lake County School System, where she worked for 30 years. She had a B.S. in Secondary Education from UTM and she loved to paint. Nellie was also a member of Tiptonville Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Antioch Cemetery with Mr. Wilford Mobley officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Monday at Tiptonville Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula Kelley and husband, Danny, of Paris; three sons, Tony Wallace and Jack William McKenzie II, both of Tiptonville and Tim McKenzie and wife, Amy, of Paris; a sister, Bonnie Hayden of Paducah, KY; a brother, Charles Pitts of Tiptonville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Will McKenzie, Andrew Wallace, Mark McKenzie, Hart McKenzie and Jason Tubbs.
