Nellie Opal Lacy's Obituary
Nellie Opal Lacy, 93, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member and Sunday School Teacher at Church of God of Prophecy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Janie Brooks and husband, Jerry, of Bogota and Geraldine Bivens and husband, Dempsy, of Union City; four sons, Willard Lacy and wife, Sandra, James H. Lacy and wife, Laura, all of Dyersburg, Millard Lacy and wife, Sandra, of Richwoods and Lloyd Lacy and wife, Jeannette, of Newbern; twenty-four grandchildren; and forty-seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doil Lacy; two sons, Doil Gene Lacy and Wilburn Lacy; and her parents, Arch and Ida Romains Woodworth.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
