Nazline J. Basham, age 92, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Born on July 31, 1933, in Dyersburg, TN, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jim and Preeble Green Johnson. Nazline was a devoted homemaker who cherished her children, grandchildren, and all of her family. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Ridgely, where she found great joy and community. Her love for her church and family was evident in all she did.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026 in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bishop Dale Basham officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery.

Survivors include her two sons, Dale Basham (Gale) of Ridgely, TN and Dwight Basham (Barbara) of Troy, TN; a daughter, Diane Basham Gallagher and  six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Nazline was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lloyd Basham; three brothers, Willard Johnson, Millard Johnson and Leland Johnson; five sisters, Maxine Norris, Mary Maude Hailey, Pam Van, Virginia Robinson and Charlene Gregory; and a great-granddaughter, MaCala Cochran.

Serving as pallbearers will be Calan Cochran, Justin Whitson, Adriene Harris, Robby Basham, Matthew Basham, and Nate McCoy.
