Nathaniel Ray Morris, 94, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his residence.

Nathaniel was born on December 10, 1925, in Troy, North Carolina. He was a retired Senior Chief with the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War. Nathaniel was also the street maintenance supervisor for Chula Vista, California.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Poplar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Halls, TN with Bobbie Escue officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his two sons, James Morris of Dyersburg and John Morris of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Noah Morris, Jay Morris and Chase Morris; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Morris and Mack Morris.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 1/2 years, Genorah Crossen Morris; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be James Morris, John Morris, Noah Morris and Jay Morris.
