Morris Gayle "Greyhound" Roberson, Sr., 87, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at his residence.

Morris was born on May 12, 1933, in Booths Point, TN, to the late, Marvin and Mackie Essary Roberson. He was a retired truck driver for Colonial Rubber for 29 years. Prior to his job at Colonial Rubber, Morris worked for West Suburban Transit Line for 10 years. Morris was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Roberson Family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Roberson of Dyersburg, TN; six sons, Morris "Roscoe" Roberson, Jr. (Judy) of Newbern, TN, Dennis Lee Roberson (Cindy), Timothy Dale Roberson, Sr. (Ginny), Michael Roberson (Fay), John Lyndell Roberson, all of Dyersburg, TN and Tony Wyatt (Therese) of Burbank, IL; three daughters, Kimberly Lengel (Jeff) of Roy, UT, Connie Manns (Thomas) of Cordova, TN and Jeannie Purvis of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Carolyn Garrett (Luther) of Hickory Hills, IL; a sister-in-law, Frances Roberson; two brothers-in-law, Don Roberson and Tom Tough; twenty grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Morris was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Roberson; four sisters, Marolyn Essary and her husband, Don, Janie Wyatt and her husband, Bill, Joyce Roberson and Sandy Tough.

Pallbearers will be Morris "Roscoe" Roberson, Dennis Lee Roberson, Timothy Dale Roberson, Sr., Timothy Dale Roberson, Jr., Tony Wyatt, Michael Roberson, John Lyndell Roberson and Kimberly Lengel. Alternate pallbearers will be Tom Manns and Jeff Lengel. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
