Moody Reasons, 84, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Moody was born on December 20, 1936 to the late Thomas Elvis Reasons and Elsie Ann Binkley Reasons. He was retired from Colonial Rubber Works after 38 years. After his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and built many beautiful martin houses and porch swings. He was a member of the Gospel Heaven's Echo for several years and coached little league baseball for a number of years. He was a long tome supporter of Shriners for Children.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Dyer County Memorial Gardens conducted by Bro. Calvin Smith. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nancy Reasons. It began in the mid 50's as a wonderful friendship and was reborn in 2003 as a love that lasted for 18 years, filled with fun and laughter. He is also survived by his three children, Anthony "Tony" Reasons, Ernest Reasons and Lisa Smith. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Michael, Adam, Lindsey, and Katherine and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-son, Richard Allen Jackson (Teresa); two grandchildren, Jill Patterson (Adam) and Jared Allen Jackson; and two great-grandchildren, Braylee Butterworth and Cade Patterson that he was teaching his love for singing and playing the guitar. He is also survived by a sister, Shirley Reasons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Willie Reasons and Edward Reasons; his three sisters, Bertha White, Sadie Huguely, and Nita Faye Reasons.
