Mrs. Modena Pogue, 76, of Jackson, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at her home.

Modena was born January 6, 1949 in Dyersburg to the late Joseph & Vivian Finley. She retired from West Tennessee Healthcare where she worked for many years as medical records specialist. Throughout her life, she had a love of collecting and sharing books and as an avid reader, which helped her to be a formidable Scrabble opponent. She also enjoyed arts & crafts, time spent outdoors, flower gardening and recognizing songbirds by their calls. She was a devoted mother and wife whose true love in life was her family, especially as "Gram" her granddaughters.

Modena is survived by her husband, Rickey Pogue; her son, Clay Pogue, both of Jackson, TN; her granddaughters, Samantha Strube of Knoxville, TN & Skylar Strube of Nashville, TN;  her brother, Tommy McPherson; her sisters, Kathy McLaughlin Pritchard & Jody Nale; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Finley and Vivian Watson Finley; and her daughter, Amy Beth Inman.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg for graveside services to be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Bro. Carmen Dennison.

The family request that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to any local literacy programs.
