Minnie Lou Armstrong, 72, of Tiptonville, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
She was a retired hairdresser, a member of Dyersburg West Side Baptist Church, an avid camper, fisherman and squirrel hunter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receieve visitors at 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Dyersburg.
Survivors include her husband, G.P. Armstrong of Tiptonville; a daughter, Dianne Ward and husband, Albert, of Dyersburg; three sisters, Sue Hendrix of McKenzie, Helen Wright of Paris and Peggy Sexton of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Keith Ward of Tiptonville and Mike Ward of Newbern; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Ward and Jacob Mills.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Noba Sexton; and a sister, Pauline Burkeen.
Pallbearers will be Richard Hayes, Troy Denney, Dennis Whitson, Eric Larson, Jerry Hall, Rob Daughtery, Bobby Burkeen and Danny Burkeen. Honorary pallbearer will be Roy Logan.
