Milton "Jr" Binkley, 90, of Fowlkes, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on October 29, 1927, in Fowlkes, TN, to the late Milton Binkley and the late Dona Binkley. Milton was a Burro Crane Operator for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. In 1949 he became a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and song leader. He was a coach for Dixie Youth Baseball and enjoyed many years of travel camping. Mr. Binkley will be truly missed by his family and church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny O'Guin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his son, Tommy Binkley (Kathy) of Dyersburg; two daughters, Sandra Dillon of Appleton, WI and Jenice Binkley of Fowlkes; a brother, Troy Binkley of Nashville; three grandchildren, Nick Dillon (Laurie) of San Diego, CA, Chad Binkley (Christy) of Newbern and Michelle Yarbrough (Trevor) of Dyersburg; six great-grandchildren, Tucker Crews, Taylor Crews, Reagan Binkley, Sean Yarbrough, Peyton Yarbrough and Ryker Dillon; and a loving companion and special lady of many years, Ms. Faye Rogers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife whom he married on July 15, 1947, Lena Binkley; a sister, Christine Perrine; a brother, Clifford Binkley; two grandchildren, Heather Crews (Jim) and Byron Criswell; and a son-in-law, Gary Dillon.
Pallbearers will be Nick Dillon, Vincent Younger, David Greer, Tim Farley, James Shipley and Ronnie Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gurley Sunday School Class of Fowlkes Baptist Church.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Fowlkes Baptist Church.
