Obituary

Milfred Palmer, 82, of Dyersburg, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at his residence.

He was retired from the machine shop at Glass Auto Parts, a 50 year member of Southside Baptist Church and a member of the Earl Carter Sunday School Class.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Naylor, the Rev. Lorne Stephens and Ken Livingston officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Athrie Palmer of Dyersburg; two sons, James Palmer and wife, Deborah, and Greg Palmer and wife, Janet, all of Dyersburg; four sisters, Mirtie Tickle of Dyersburg, Murell Quinton of Chicago, IL., Lois Fultz of Lane and Mattie Hardin of Columbus, MS.; four granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambers and Susan Cook Palmer; and two sisters, Mildred Turnbo and Mary Hardin.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
