Mildred Louise Burrus Sharp, 86, of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at her sons residence in Memphis.
She was the former owner of Tiptonville Laundromat and member of Crocketts Chapel United Methodist Church. She graduated from Tiptonville High School in 1942 and married Jack Sharp of Hornbeak in 1947. She served her country as a Navy wife for 14 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crocketts Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marita Burkeen officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Survivors include a son, Donald Sharp of Memphis; and two grandchildren, Jackson Hunter Sharp and Anna Catherine Sharp, both of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Sharp; and her parents, Lewis and Isa Lee Ferguson Burrus.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.
