Obituary

Mildred Frances Pitts, 89, of Tiptonville, died Monday, January 3, 2011 at her residence.

She was a retired CNA with Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home and a member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Tiptonville Church of Christ with Bro. Wilford Mobley, Bro. Lonnie Grady and Bro. Joel Estes officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Survivors include her son, Gerald Pitts and wife, Ursula, of Tiptonville; eight daughters, Betty Bryson of Clarksville, Patsy Wadley, Brenda Mobley and husband, Wilford, Peggy Conner, Callie Estes, Rachel Michael and husband, Timothy, all of Tiptonville, Janie Baker and husband, John, of Hohenwald and Jennie Miller and husband, Pete, of Dyersburg; a half-sister, Jean Pittman of Brighton, TX.; thirty-two grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; twenty great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Pitts; her parents, William and Mary Lou Cagle Rochelle; three sisters; a half-sister; a half-brother; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and a great-great-great-grandson.

Pallbearers will be Jason Estes, J.C. Bryson, Jr., Mike Bryson, Joe Bryson, Daniel Mobley and Jonathan Mobley. Honorary pallbearers will be Duke Hayes, Shelby Barker, Bobby Upson, Sherrill Barker, Roy Wilson, Charles Windsor, John Runions and Shelby C. Barker.
