Mildred (Meon) Leake, 86, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home in Ridgely, TN.

Mildred was born on August 21, 1935 in Ridgely, TN to the late John and Lovelle Fowler. She was a homemaker and also worked many years at the family owned business of Mar-Lek Sportswear in Ridgely. She attended Willingham Baptist Church in Ridgely.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Willingham Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Gray officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Willingham Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three sons, Jimmy Leake (Debbie) of Tiptonville, TN, Alan Leake (Sandy) of Knoxville, TN and Jason Leake (Amy) of Newbern, TN; a daughter, Suzette Simmons of Ridgely, TN; her 11 grandchildren, Jill Petty (TJ), LeAnn Simmons, Patrick Leake (Jessica), Kayce Bunch (Eric), Laura Beth Lancaster (John), Anna Elisabeth Barre (DJ), Emma Ash (Matthew), Alec Leake, Alli Stewart (Jacob), Kady Beth Leake, Bailey Leake; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers, John Wayne Fowler of Ridgely, TN, Larry Fowler of Ripley, TN, Roger Fowler of Newbern, TN and Jackie Fowler of Ridgely, TN; and two sisters, Barbara Whitt and Freida Hardee, both of Dyersburg, TN.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Leake, Alex Leake, Robert Hunter Coats, Jon Lancaster, Jarred Hayes and Bryceton Bunch.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Leake; three sisters, Betty Lou Eason, Alice McLean and Linda Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Harper Shae Leake.

Memorials may be directed to Willingham Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
