Mildred Eloise Haddock, affectionately known as Millie, passed away at the age of 88 on January 17, 2026, at Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.
Born on September 2, 1937, in Dyersburg, TN, Millie was a beloved resident of Lenox, TN. Millie dedicated her career to working at Sylvania before moving on to Wal-Mart, where she served as a department manager of the fabric department until her retirement. Her commitment to her work was matched by her devotion to her faith and community. As a member of Lenox Baptist Church for over 40 years, she contributed significantly by serving on the kitchen committee, teaching Sunday School, and supporting her husband in his role as a Deacon. Millie had a passion for sewing and cooking, and she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her mother, Margaret Shipley, and leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to her family and community.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rudy Ring officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her son, David Haddock (Jayne) of Lenox, TN; a daughter, Diane Cook of Lenox, TN; and grandmother or MeMe to her five grandchildren, Amber Morris (Deuce), Samantha Lewis (Toma), Laura Jayne Harris, Jake Haddock (Heather) and John Haddock (Autumn); and nine great-grandchildren, Lucy Morris, Wendy Morris, Emmy Morris, Jackson Lewis, Waylon Lewis, Bradley Kay Lewis, Bo Henry Haddock, Bryer Wayne Haddock and Liza Jayne Haddock.
In addition to her mother, Ms. Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Joy Haddock; and a daughter, Denise Ables.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jake Haddock, John Haddock, Deuce Morris, Toma Lewis, Jackson Lewis and Waylon Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Studard, Gerald Evans, Bob Veal and Steve Sartin.
