Obituary

Mildred Novalea Bargery, 94, of Dyersburg, formerly of Ridgely, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living Center.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hathaway Baptist Church in Ridgely, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for beginners.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Welch and husband, Jimmy, and Faye Tickle and husband, Sammy, all of Dyersburg; a sister, Ruth Bartlett of Covington; three grandchildren, John David Tickle and wife, Brandy, of Nashville, Amy Staggs and husband, Scott, and Ryan Welch and wife, Shannon, all of Dyersburg; and seven great-grandchildren, Lily Virginia Tickle, Luke Monroe Tickle, Ellen Staggs, Matthew Staggs, Anna Staggs, Landon Ramsey and Mackenzie Ramsey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Jake" Bargery; her parents, Clifford and Cecil Vickers Williams; two sisters, Annie Bargery and Florence Smith; and six brothers, Lewis Williams, Arthur Williams, Oscar Williams, Floyd Williams, Earl Williams and McBride Williams.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Welch, Scott Staggs, John Tickle, Michael Smith, Roger Dale Bartlett and Jason Boswell.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Dyersburg First Baptist Church Flower Fund or to the American Heart Association.
