Michael Shane Pilkenton, 52, of Bogota, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

Shane was born on September 21, 1969, in Dyersburg, TN, to Bertie Hipp Carter and the late Michael Wayne Pilkenton. He was a welder for ERMCO and was a member of Hurricane Hill Presbyterian Church. Shane loved racing and riding ATV's, deer hunting and was an avid golfer.

Celebration of life services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mrs. Donna Morgan officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Reasons Pilkenton of Bogota, TN; two sons, Michael Lane Pilkenton and Hunter Blake Pilkenton, both of Bogota, TN; his mother, Bertie Carter of Newbern, TN; and his beloved dog, Yellow.

In addition to his father, Shane was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Colleen Pilkenton and Paul and Beulah Hipp.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Pease, Brian Morgan, Larry Ricketts, Alex Price, Luke Butterworth, Logan Price and Trevor Reasons. Honorary pallbearer will be Wayne O'Brien.

For the safety of all in attendance, the family requests that everyone wear a face mask.
