Mertie Jane Tickle's Obituary
Mertie Jane Tickle, 85, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at McKee Hospital in Loveland, CO.
She was born on October 30, 1931 in Fayette County, AL to the late Ambers and Susan Cook Palmer. Mertie was retired from the quality control department for Sylvania.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Larry Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The Tickle Family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her son, Larry Tickle and wife, Jan, of Ft. Collins, CO; three sisters, Murell Quinton of Chicago, IL, Lois Fultz of Dyersburg and Mattie Hardin of Columbus, MS; three grandchildren, Daniel Tickle of Christiansburg, VA, Joseph Tickle and wife, Diana, of Texarkana, TX and Adam Tickle of Ft. Collins, CO; and a great-granddaughter, Amber Tickle.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theo Tickle; a daughter, Barbara Jean Tickle; two sisters, Mildred Turnbo and Mary Hardin; and a brother, Milford Palmer.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
