Melvin Allen Hughes' Obituary
Melvin Allen Hughes, 87, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on September 8, 1930 in Obion County, TN, to the late Fonzie Hughes and the late Hester Rice Hughes. Mr. Hughes was a retired owner of Red Cab Taxi Service and was a member of Pierce Lane Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery with Mr. Rick Willis officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hughes of Dyersburg; a daughter, Mitzi Gayle Holliman of Spokane, WA; a sister, Juanita Clements of Alamo; a grandchild, Michael Allen Holliman of Spokane, WA; a great-grandchild, Michael Craig Holliman; and a step-great-grandchild, Ellie Grace Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Roland Clement, Dale Clement, Troy Clement, Glen Pendergrass, Gerald Hughes and Don Hughes.
