Mellie Sue Wood's Obituary
Mellie Sue Wood, 87, of Dyersburg passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at her residence.
She was a retired farmer and a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be Friday at 12 Noon at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. This service will be conducted by Rev. Nathe Ozment.
The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wood is survived by several nieces and nephews including Randy Maness of Millington, TN and Jamie Maness of Knoxville, TN who cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 yrs., T. E. Wood; her parents, Lincoln and Abigail Maness; three brothers, O'Neal Maness, Hugh L. Maness, and James Pinkley Maness; and two sisters, Virgie Lee Maness Tolley and Mary Pauline Maness Goodwin.
Pallbearers will be Randy Maness, Tim Maness, Kim Maness, Jim Maness, David Maness, Larry Maness, and Barry Maness.Honorary pallbearers include Dave Paris, Tim Pope, Bob Kirk, and Jimmy Welch.
