Melissa W. Langston, 67, of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence.
She was a member and former Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church in Dyersburg and a founding member of Transitions of Dyer County.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Activity Center with the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockmart, GA. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles Langston of Dyersburg; three daughters, Charlissa Langston Hinton of Marietta, GA, Stacey Langston Caparas of Franklin, TN and Carlotta Langston Fulton of Canton, GA; a sister, Bobbie Owen of Cedartown, GA; and six grandchildren, Richard W. Payne IV, Charles Christopher Payne, Ashton Keller Hearn, Kacey Lee Hearn, Luke Aaron Humphrey and Samuel Ray Humphrey.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Letha Mae Bethune Simpson; and her father, Grady Davis Weaver.
