Mrs. Maxine Wheeler Tabor, age 92, of Finley TN, formerly of Jonesboro, AR, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Oakwood Community Living Center.  She was born March 30, 1930 in Sledge, MS to the late Foster and Viola Wheeler.

Maxine worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses throughout her life.  She is fondly remembered for her cooking for family and friends.  She was a life-long Sunday-School teacher during her time at Windover and Finley Baptist churches.

She is survived by her son, Steve Tabor of Dyersburg and her daughter, Susan Halliburton & Husband Charlie, of Finley, her seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren as well as her older sister, Rae Cox, of Oxford, MS.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Tabor, her parents, her six older brothers & sisters and one great-grandchild.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro, AR.  Family members & attendees will be honored to serve as pallbearers.
