Maurice Freeman Goad, 78, of Finley, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired truck driver, Worshipful Master Hess Lodge #93, 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite, U.S. Army Veteran of Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Doris M. Goad of Finley; two daughters, Toni Goad Sanders of Finley and Nancy J. Tucker of Antwerp, OH.; a sister, Crystal Miller of Waterloo, IN.; three brothers, Rice P. Goad and Marshall B. Goad, both of Dyersburg and Joe Goad of Jackson; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rice and Linnie Willard Goad.
Masons will serve as pallbearers.
