Matt Butler, 54, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on January 27, 1963 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Matt was an employee of Ermco and was a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church. He was also a musician and DJ. Matt loved fishing, music, and motorcycles.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery.

The Butler Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two sons, Brad Butler and Kaiden Butler, both of Dyersburg; two daughters, Nikki Butler of Dyersburg and Kristin Gregory and husband, Shane, of Ridgely; four sisters, Delora Jackson of St. Petersburg, FL, Rita Scott and Becky Butler, both of Dyersburg and Tonya Williams of Ridgely; two brothers, Joe Jordan of Corinth, MS and Richie Simmons of Byhalia, MS; nine grandchildren, Jaxon Gregory, Nolan Gregory, Brooklyn Pitts, Joe Pitts, Brendon Hayes, Cade Gregory, Korbyn Butler, Liam Gregory and River Gregory; and his step-mother, Wanda Butler of Dyersburg.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Billie Simmons; and his adoptive parents, Berl Butler and "Happy" Butler.

Pallbearers will be Brad Brown, Mike Cowles, Barry Lovell, Jeff Johnson, Shane Ownby, Jamie Adams, Derek Apperson and Jeff Pleasant.
