Mary Virginia Rogers Woods' Obituary
Mary Virginia Rogers Woods, 92, of Tiptonville, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections. Mrs. Woods was a faithful member of Crockett Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Women's Missionary Society. She formerly owned City Fish Market in Paris, TN.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crockett Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Jimmy Calhoun and the Rev. Marita Burkeen officiating. Burial will be in Crockett Chapel Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include her daughter, Miss Martha Jean Woods of Tiptonville; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Woods of Tiptonville; a granddaughter, Autumn Leigh Woods; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos B. Woods; a son, Bobby Woods; her parents, James and Lassie Elizabeth Sharp Rogers; and a brother, Gordon Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Rogers, Todd Rogers, Brent Rogers, Donnie York, Keith Bates and Jerry Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Cain and Wayne Burkeen.
