Mary Evelyn "Polly" Thompson, 81, of Dresden, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on April 11, 1936 in Frog Jump, TN, to the late Felix Porter Chilcutt and the late Mary Lillie White Chilcutt. Polly was a retired nursing assistant at Parkview Hospital and was a member of Hodges Chapel Baptist Church in Dresden.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Wanda McCamon and husband, Larry, of Biloxi, MS and Judy Brooks of Cloverdale, TN; three step-sons, Jerry Thompson and wife, Shirley, of Humboldt, TN, Danny Thompson and wife, Anita, of Newbern, TN and Mark Thompson of McKenzie, TN; two brothers, Larry Joe Chilcutt of Dyersburg, TN and Robert Chilcutt of Newbern, TN; six grandchildren, Tracy Moore Hutchison, Beth Moore Evans, Christopher Alan Arnold, Annie Perkins, Michael Boswell, Jr. and Calum Boswell; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.N. Thompson; a son, Michael D. Boswell, Sr.; a step-son, Eddie Thompson; four sisters, Cathy Simpson, Jean Wright, Helen Wells and Martha Clutts; and two brothers, Charles "Frank" Chilcutt and Jimmy "Sonny" Chilcutt.
