Ms. Mary Clyde Lanier Luckett passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her residence.  She was born April 14, 1941 in Dyersburg to the late C.W. "Jack" & Mary McKee.  She worked throughout her life as a bookkeeper for Lanier Furniture, Dyersburg State Community College and the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville.  She was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church and was always the center of fun for her family.  She loved to travel, especially to Washington, D.C., Hawaii and Australia.

She is survived by her step children, Edward Luckett & wife, Sandra, Anthony Luckett & wife, Becky, Monica Lindquist, Christina Slawson & husband, Jim, Alisha Coker, sister-in-law, Lizbeth A. McKee and her niece, Heather M Danielson & husband, Steve.  She was loved greatly by her thirteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  She especially cared for her fur babies, Gretchen, Harley & B.C.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, James Paul Lanier and Edward Lewis Luckett, her daughter, Paulette Lanier Jackson and a brother, Willie Earl McKee.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home at 12:00 on Saturday, September 9, 2023, conducted by Bro. Loren Stephens with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Members of Southside Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

The family ask that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Humane Society, in lieu of flowers.
