Mrs. Mary Violet Hatch, 87, of Dyersburg, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker, a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Bemis and very active in all church activities.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Carson and the Rev. Jerry Damesworth officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Viar and husband, Cecil, of Dyersburg; three sons, Raymond Hatch and wife, Helen, Ronnie Hatch and wife, Carol, and Roger Hatch and wife, Sandy, all of Jackson; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. L.B. Hatch; her parents, J.W. and Eliza King Watson; a sister, Martha Douglas; five brothers, James Watson, Reuben Watson, Cass Watson, Clayburn Watson and Johnny Watson; and a nephew, Tom "Sonny" Watson.
Pallbearers will be Jason Viar, Tyler Schrupp, Trevor Schrupp, Jared Walker, Nathan Schrupp and Dustin Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Viar and Leon Viar.
