Mary Magdalene Fisher Pitts, 83, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.

She was born on December 21, 1933 in Ridgely, TN, to the late Hinton Young Fisher and the late Linnie Macie McKee Fisher. Mary was a retired inspector at Dyersburg Fabrics, where she worked for 28 years. She was also formerly employed with Big Star, By-Rite Grocery, K.W. Rogers #4 and Sears Roebuck in Chicago, IL. Mary was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and a former member of Hawthorne Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Crandall officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two sons, Keith Pitts and wife, Jennifer, of Dyersburg and Steve Pitts and wife, Joyce, of Tatumville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Pitts, Jr.; and two sisters, Freddie Mae Fisher and Lillian Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Surratt, Vernon Jones, Will Pitts, Keith Pitts, Kevin Barnes and Jim Ham.
