Mary Audrey Anderson, age 96, of Dyersburg, TN passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at her residence.

Audrey was born on July 26, 1925 in New Albany, MS to the late Harvey & Emmie Watson Hill. Early in life, Audrey worked at Dyersburg Fabrics in the spinning department. After leaving Dyersburg Fabrics in 1965, she became a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed dancing and loved caring and cooking for all her kids and grandchildren. Audrey was also an avid gardener and was Baptist by faith.

Graveside services for Mary Audrey Anderson will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery conducted by Bro. Butch Burns. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Eddie E. Anderson (Ann) of Dyersburg, TN; one daughter, Jackie Lucas (Rodney) of Iuka, MS; four grandchildren, Virgina Anderson Parker (Steven), Johnathan Wesley Anderson (Jennifer), Tonya Castleman Wells (Eric) and Carissa Lucas Nolting (Michael); one step-grandson, Scott Lucas (LeAnn); eleven great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J W Anderson; her daughter, Phyllis Anderson Castleman; her two brother, William Lee Roy Hill and Harvey Lonzo Hill Jr. and her sister, Murtis Clytee Hill Leach.

Pallbearers will be Benny Leach, Bill French, Johnathan Anderson, Hunter Wells, Jacob Wells, Sam Porter, Ward Anderson and Wes Anderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Luke Moore.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all her caregivers over the years that loved and cared for their mother as if she was their own.
