Marvin Lynn Gean, 62, of Finley, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at his residence.
He was a retired truck driver for Dyer County Highway Department, member of Oak Grove Church of Christ and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Westbrook officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Molly Gean of Finley; a daughter, Suzanne Jowers and husband, John, of Dyersburg; a son, Scott Gean and his fiancé, Carlee Myers, of Finley; three brothers, Leon Gean, Charlie Gean and Mark Gean, all of Dyersburg; and two grandchildren, Mallory Gean Gray and Emma Claire Jowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Alice Simmons Gean; and two brothers, Joe T. Gean and Billy Gean.
Pallbearers will be Danny Gean, Ryan Gean, Dalton Gean, Jeff Jones, Ronnie Howie and Mike Sentell. Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of the Dyer County Highway Department.
