Mr. Martin Lemon, 86, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

He served 60 years as a Church of Christ Minister and a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Owen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bettye Lemon of Dyersburg; two daughters, Susan Newsom and husband, Bill, Jr., of Newbern and Pam Mayo and husband, Steve, of Cincinnati, OH; a son, Danny Lemon and wife, Merrill, of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren, Shelley Payne and husband, David, Alicia Lemon, Jenna Lemon and Nathan Newsom and wife, Carrie, all of Dyersburg, Blake Newsom and wife Erin of Halls, Matthew Mayo and wife, Marissa, and Melissa Mayo, all of Bowling Green, KY and McKenzie Mayo of Cincinnati, OH; and two great-grandchildren, Bentley Teeter and Tinley Newsom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard P. and Evie Martin Lemon.

Pallbearers will be Bill Newsom, Jr., Nathan Newsom, Blake Newsom, Steve Mayo, Matthew Mayo and David Payne.
