Martha Nell Sutton's Obituary
Martha Nell Sutton, 96, of Longview, WA, formerly of Ridgely, died Monday, March 5, 2012 at Community Home Health and Hospice in Longview, WA.
She was a payroll clerk for Arden-Mayfair Corporation, member of Calvary Community Church in Longview, WA and a 1934 graduate of Ridgely High School. In 1936, she left the area and lived in Detroit and Los Angeles before joining her family in 1994 in Longview, WA. She was a homemaker and deaconess in the Baptist Church for many years. She stayed active and independent until the last two years.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Wisely officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 12-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Noel and husband, Ray, of Kalama, WA; two grandchildren, Melanie Noel and Heather Noel Acar and husband, Metin; and one great-grandchild, Evren Acar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sutton; a son, Steve Sutton; her parents, Walter and Naomi Neel Olhausen; two sisters, Ruth Tull and Mary Faulkner; and four brothers, David Olhausen, Norman Olhausen, Paul Olhausen and Neel Olhausen.
Pallbearers will be Metin Acar, Sam Faulkner, Rick Faulkner, Samuel Faulkner, Tommy Olhausen and Barry Olhausen.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice Care Center at 1035 11th, Longview, WA 98632.
