Martha Frances Sanford, 100, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Martha was born on November 6, 1919 in Millsfield, TN, to the late Clarence and Florence Laird Smith. She was a retired knitter for Dyersburg Fabrics and was a member of McCullough Chapel Baptist Church. Martha and her late husband Leonard farmed for many years in the Lenox Nauvoo area.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her niece, Joan Dormanen of Howell, MI; and a nephew, William Andy Smith of Westland, MI.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Sanford; a brother, Price Smith; and her nephew who cared for her, Terry Smith.
