Martha Sue Lovings, 81, of Tiptonville, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
She was the retired co-owner of Mooring Grocery, a member of Ridgely First Baptist Church, a former member of Ridgely Jr. Women's Club and an avid bridge player.
Graveside services were Saturday at New Haven Cemetery with Bro. Paul Adams officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Emily Turner of Humboldt, Deborah Lovings of Charleston, S.C., and Lynn Adams of Union City; two sisters, Barbara Wood of Ridgely and Sylvia Hunnicutt of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a brother, Bubba Osborne of Samburg; and four grandchildren, Hannah Adams and Rachel Adams Grow, both of Union City, Dr. Whitney Sanders of Memphis and Katy Sanders of Chattanooga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Lovings; and her parents, Newt and Mildred Cartwright Osborne.
