Ms. Martha Katheryn Hendricks, of Dyersburg, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Oakwood Community Living Center.  She was born January 31, 1946 in Portageville, Missouri, to the late Mildred & George Weed.  She worked as a cook, waitress, production worker and as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She attended and loved Holy Hills Baptist Church and in her spare time, she loved music and her pets, especially Jake & Sassy.  She was truly devoted to her family, enjoying cooking for or having  a cup of coffee with them and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was lovingly known by her family as "Myrtle".

Martha is survived by her daughters, Kim Holland & husband, Scott, of Newbern and Alicia Newell & husband, Adam, of Dyersburg, her brothers, Jack & Ralph Weed, her sisters, Melissa Lowry & Patty Chandler, her grandchildren, Bryan Holland & wife, Morgan, of Flushing MI, Stefanie Jones & husband, Dillon, of Newbern, Summer Pierce & husband, Matthew, of Dyersburg, Harper & Nathan Newell, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Nathan Eugene "Butch" Hendricks, her brothers, W.C . & A.C. Weed and sister, Betty Sue Weed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at a later date in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri.
