Ms. Martha Frances Campbell, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Jackson General Hospital. She was born April 18, 1928 to the late George & Lula Garrison. Martha was a long-time member of Phillips St. Church of Christ and worked for many years as a switchboard operator for the Dyersburg Hospital. In her free time, she loved to travel, including cruises, yearly trips to Florida and a trip to Europe. She was a lifetime member and supporter of the Disabled American Veterans group. She was known to be very self-sufficient, taking care of herself through all of her life and devoted to all of her family.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Campbell & wife, Debby, and Greg Campbell & wife, Jeanie, her daughter Amy Butterworth & Bill Jones, her son-in-law, Melvin Tirey, her sister, Barbara Hampton, her eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 41 years, Howard P. Campbell, her daughter, Cathy Tirey, her granddaughter, Amber Campbell, her great-grandson, Kyler Shook, her brothers, George, Jr. & Otis Garrison, Haywood & J.C. Thedford, her sisters, Nora Lock, Sue Hall, Imogene Sipes & Dorothy Phillips.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. and at 1 p.m. before graveside funeral services begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, conducted by Mr. Andy Brewer. Graveside services and interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be directed to the Phillips Street Church of Christ or the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund.
